Are you a Teaching Assistant who is a great "all-rounder"

Teaching Assistant required to support students with various Learning Needs and contribute to a positive classroom environment within a Hornchurch School.

During the lunchtime period, 1-1 support is needed for a student that has learning difficulties and reluctant to follow instructions, the ideal Teaching Assistant will need to be firm but fair.

Starting: April after the Easter break.

Monday - Friday (Term time only) - with the possibility of a shorter working day on a Friday

A wide range of skills including communication, organization, patience, empathy, and adaptability would ideally be essential.

Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Empathy and patience: Understanding the individuals needs and providing support with patience.
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm: Creating a positive learning environment for all the students.
  • Ability to collaborate: Working effectively with the classroom teacher to implement lesson plans for the students.
  • Organizational skills: Managing tasks and materials efficiently.
  • Flexibility and adaptability: Adjusting to changing situations and student needs.
  • L2/L3 Teaching Assistant, Care, SEND or Psychology qualification.
