Are you a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) ready to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant primary school environment? Our friendly and inclusive primary school in Hornchurch is seeking a dedicated HLTA to join our team, covering classes across Nursery, Reception, and Key Stage 1.
This exciting role offers the opportunity to support and inspire young learners, contributing to their early education journey in a welcoming and nurturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Cover: Provide high-quality classroom cover across Nursery, Reception, and Key Stage 1, delivering engaging lessons and activities in the absence of the class teacher.
- Support Learning: Assist in planning and delivering lessons aligned with the curriculum to ensure all pupils achieve their full potential.
- Individual and Group Support: Work with small groups and individual pupils, adapting your approach to meet diverse learning needs.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment, promoting good behaviour and engagement.
- Collaborative Working: Liaise with teachers and other staff to support the holistic development of all children.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with marking, record-keeping, and preparation of resources as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualifications: HLTA qualifications are highly desirable.
- Experience: Proven experience working as an HLTA in a primary school setting is essential.
- Skills: Strong communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills, with the ability to engage and inspire young learners.
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to the needs of different classes and age groups.
