The school is looking for 2 SEN Teaching Assistants, either with experience working with SEN children or recent graduates in Education, Psychology, Criminology, or a related field, who are passionate about working with children with additional needs.
The students in this mainstream school have a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, challenging behaviour, and learning difficulties. If you have experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis or if you're committed to making a difference in the lives of children with SEN, these roles could be a great fit for you.
The available roles are within EYFS, KS1, or KS2, so depending on your experience and preference, there are multiple opportunities to explore.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting a dedicated child in the classroom, assisting the class teacher, and helping to foster a positive learning environment. Your main responsibility will be to build a strong rapport with your assigned child, helping them to feel confident and supported both inside and outside of the classroom.
