I am looking for an Engineering Team Leader to join our clients growing team. Our client has recently spent 10 million on automating their production process resulting in a new requirement for team members. They are a nationwide Food & Beverage Manufacturer that has been established for decades.
The role will entail taking ownership and accountability for commissioning/ installation of new plant machinery for a variety of projects across the factory. You will need to utilise both strong electrical and mechanical attributes to ensure PPM is carried out properly and reducing downtime.
Engineering Team Leader Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate planned maintenance and annual servicing activities.
Responsible for the upkeep and enhancement of all engineering assets within your jurisdiction.
Maintain various machines, including a Tetra-Pack filling machine, spiral freezer, and ovens.
Schedule planned maintenance in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
Lead all engineering efforts necessary for technical audits.
Stay informed about innovations and improvements in the FMCG sector.
Assist in achieving productivity and efficiency enhancement goals.
Contribute to meeting departmental budgetary targets.
Ensure project delivery complies with health and safety legislation.
Provide supporting documentation for projects in line with best practices.
Engineering Team Leader Requirements:
Recognized qualifications in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering (minimum City & Guilds).
Ideally, 4-5 years of experience in a food manufacturing setting.
Comprehensive understanding of engineering legislative requirements in a manufacturing context, including risk management and assessments.
Strong project management skills and health & safety knowledge; NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications are preferred.
Practical experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
Knowledge of PPM strategies, improvement techniques, and tools.
Extensive understanding of engineering standards.
Experience in complex manufacturing environments.
