Reed Accountancy are seeking an immediately available Accounts Assistant, to join our industry leading client's expanding team on a Permanent basis. This role sits within a friendly, high performing team and training can be provided to bring you up to speed if required. A good understanding of Excel packages is essential to be able to hit the ground running.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, presenting and challenging findings to the management team.
- Work closely with senior management and directors to help drive the future of the company.
- Manage a variety of financial matters arising within the business.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance financial processes.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Analyse financial data to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Manage cash flow, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Handle postings of journals, accruals, pre-payments, and intercompany transactions.
- Take responsibility for VAT & HMRC submissions for the Group companies.
- Gain firsthand experience with CIS and reverse VAT.
- Manage and support the accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Supervise credit control and undertake debt chasing when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
- Advanced skills in spreadsheets
