Client Accounts & Tax AssistantMy lovely client based in a rural location on the outskirts of Horsham is looking for an experience Client Accounts and Tax Assistant to join their team.  Working as part of a team of 7, they really are a friendly bunch, who strive to work hard, have a happy and production working environment and provide an exemplary service to their many clients - many of whom have been with thiem for years.     Purpose:To deliver comprehensive accounting and tax services, including statutory accounts, tax returns, and VAT compliance, while fostering strong client relationships and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements     Main Responsibilities:     1.Working closely with clients & develop excellent working relationships2. Accounts & taxable profits computations for sole traders & partnerships3. Statutory accounts and tax returns for limited companies & LLPs4. Self-Assessment tax returns for private clients, business & property owners5. VAT compliance & returns6. Reserves computations & dividend distributions7. Company minutes, resolutions, forms & returns e.g. confirmation statement8. Bookkeeping     Measures of performance:1. Client retention2. Team happiness3. Client satisfaction4. Response times for client communications5. Meeting internal & external deadlines6. Maintenance of technical knowledge7. Accuracy of work8. Non-repetition of errors     PERSON SPECIFICATIONKnowledge: 1. UK GAAP, FRS105 and FRS102 (s1A)2. Income tax for individuals & unincorporated businesses3. Corporation tax for small and micro entities4. VAT compliance for UK businesses5. Solid understanding of double entry bookkeeping     Skills/attributes:     1.Share knowledge & experience, collaborate & communicate2. Be authentic & keep your word3. Look for solutions but don't be afraid to ask for help4. Accept responsibility & apologise for mistakes5. Constantly look at ideas & processes for ways to improve6. Act openly & do not allow bias to override judgement     Qualifications:     1. AAT (level 3 or higher)2.ICB level 43. Part-qualified ACCA or ACA4. ATT and/or CTA pathway     Experience:     1.Work in an accounting practice2. Work in a customer facing role3. Technologically proficient including Xero/QBO/Sage, MS Office applications, workflow/document management system     Benefits:     1.Full-time with study package/apprenticeship2.
