Sous chef - Contact catering - £18.12 per hour full time - Crawley
Are you a Sous chef looking for a new opportunity within the contract catering industry that can provide you with a great work / life balance?
We are currently looking for a sous chef for our education catering site based in Crawley area.
Key Information:
Salary: £18.12 p/h ( £ 37,707 based on 40 hours a week - 52 weeks a year ) - overtime available.
Hours: 52 weeks a year, 5 days out of 7 ( 16 working weekends per year) predominantly Monday to Friday, shift times :
6:00am-2:30pm ; 8am-4:30 pm; 11am-7:30 pm
Location: Crawley area - Must drive
Contract: Permanent
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
* Provide a friendly catering service, performing a variety of manual tasks associated with food production and service in the school
* Preparation, cooking and presentation of food to agreed standards.
* Help with preparation of food items and maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of kitchen
* Work alongside the kitchen team
Required skills include:
* A strong understanding of produce and ingredients
* Experience of a variety of kitchen environments and cuisines
* Knowledge of food production methods
* Embrace new ideas and processes
* Positive and approachable manner
In order to be successful, you'll need to have:
* Experience as a sous chef
* Ability to follow instructions
* High Standards of hygiene
