Assistant Site Manager – Industrial ProjectsLocation: Horsham, West Sussex (Future projects across Southeast England)Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Travel, Healthcare, Pension & Bonus Key Highlights
  • Project Scope: Assist in managing the delivery of a £10m light industrial development, consisting of 7 steel frame and cladded units. The steel frame is erected, and cladding is underway.
  • Career Progression: Long-term opportunity with further projects planned across the Southeast.
  • Mentorship & Development: Work closely with the company's most experienced Project Manager, who will act as your mentor, providing hands-on training and guidance to help you grow into a future Site Manager.
  • Site Duration: Project runs until September this year, with further work secured across the Southeast.
Your Next Role – What You’ll Be DoingAs an Assistant Site Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of this industrial project. Working alongside an experienced Project Manager, you’ll gain first-hand exposure to the full site management process, from subcontractor coordination to quality control and health & safety compliance.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting with the day-to-day management of site activities, ensuring work progresses on time and to specification.
  • Overseeing subcontractors, ensuring quality control, and addressing any on-site challenges promptly.
  • Maintaining and enforcing strict health & safety standards, ensuring compliance across all site operations.
  • Collaborating closely with suppliers and key stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics and material deliveries.
  • Learning the commercial and contractual aspects of site management to develop a well-rounded skillset.
With the steel frame complete and cladding already underway, your role will be instrumental in managing the upcoming fit-out, M&E, and finishing phases, giving you exposure to the entire construction process.
