Your new companyMy client are a leading supplier of products to DIY Markets. With extensive facilities at their site in West Sussex, they boast R&D and Manufacturing capabilities, creating products for an expanding European market, with products sold B2B and B2C, through both traditional retail and ecommerce. Due to the expansion of the Marketing & Design team, we are seeking a Digital Designer to play a crucial role in producing visually compelling & technically sound digital assets for various channels.

Please note, this is a fully office-based role, expecting 5 days on-site at their Horsham office. Your new roleAs Digital Designer, you will combine creative design with technical expertise in front-end development to help them elevate their digital presence and enhance user experiences. You will be proactive in identifying challenges and developing innovative solutions while also seeking opportunities to enhance your skills through the company's commitment to supporting professional development. You will create and implement digital assets such as banners, social media graphics, email templates, and responsive web pages. Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user interfaces, ensuring they are visually appealing and functional. You will actively identify design and technical challenges, and develop creative, effective solutions to overcome them. You will use these problem-solving skills to enhance the functionality and user experience of digital assets.What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in digital design with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of digital work.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD).
  • Experience with UI/UX design tools (e.g. Figma).
  • Strong front-end development skills, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience in responsive and cross-browser design.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Craft CMS).
  • Strong understanding of web performance optimisation, accessibility standards, and SEO principles as they relate to front-end development.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
