Academics is working with a fantastic secondary school in Horsham seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting students and making a real difference in their educational journey. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons across various subjects.
  • Provide targeted support to students, either one-on-one or in small groups.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) to ensure they access the curriculum effectively.
  • Prepare learning materials and assist with lesson planning under the teacher's direction.
  • Supervise students during break times, school trips, and extracurricular activities.
  • Assist with marking, administrative tasks, and classroom organization.
  • Work closely with teachers, staff, and parents to support student progress.
Requirements:
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
