We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our Clients Estates team. Reporting to the Building Maintenance Manager, this role is ideal for someone with experience in both domestic and commercial settings, preferably within educational or healthcare settings. The successful candidate will be proactive, capable of working independently or alongside other tradespersons, and committed to maintaining high standards of electrical safety and efficiency.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Independently manage and complete electrical works to programme, using initiative and adhering to all relevant technical standards and best practices.
  • Identify and deliver the appropriate response to maintenance requests in a professional and sympathetic manner, aligning with the organisation’s needs.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with relevant statutes, current technical standards, and best practices.
  • Work comfortably alongside other tradespersons as required.
  • Participate in on-call duties to address urgent maintenance needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • City & Guilds A&B/1&2 (or later equivalent) qualification.
  • IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
  • Experience in both domestic and large commercial installations, preferably in a School, University, FE College, or NHS environment.
  • Ability to work independently using own initiative.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and respond appropriately to maintenance needs.
