Asset Manager - Commercial Aircraft Assets Management
Reporting To: Assets and Trading Director
Type: Full-time, onsite, with hybrid options on completion of probation period.
Hours: 0900 - 1730Hrs or 0830 - 1700Hrs
A global leader in the aviation aftermarket, specialising in the supply, repair, and management of aircraft parts. The company supports airlines, MROs, and leasing companies with high-quality component solutions, from inventory and stock provisioning to repair management and asset trading.
Role Overview
As an Asset Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and maximising the value of our portfolio. This role combines technical expertise, analytical precision, and a sales-focused mindset to ensure the optimal valuation, acquisition, and placement of assets. You will also drive business development initiatives to grow market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Management
- Identify and assess potential engines, airframes and inventory packages for acquisition and sale.
- Conduct market research to determine current and forecasted asset values.
- Manage asset lifecycle, ensuring maintenance schedules and documentation compliance.
- Collaborate with technical teams to oversee inspections and condition reports.
- Join the Assets and Trading Director on site with asset evaluations.
Sales and Business Development
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with airlines, leasing companies, and MROs.
- Negotiate and execute sales agreements for rotable assets, engines and/or packages.
- Identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive revenue growth.
- Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.
Financial and Strategic Analysis
- Prepare detailed financial models to evaluate investment opportunities.
- Monitor market dynamics, including supply, demand, and competitor activities.
- Support strategic planning for asset acquisition and disposition.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in asset valuations, leasing, or trading within the aviation industry.
- Strong knowledge of engine types, market values, and maintenance programs.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial and technical data.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid passport with unrestricted travel globally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sales or business development within aviation or related industries.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Proficiency with Quantum, a component control software.
