Head of Finance

Reed Finance are currently partnered with a Horsham based client who are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and executing the company’s financial strategy, focusing on risk mitigation, supporting mergers and acquisitions, and identifying growth opportunities. This role is pivotal in ensuring the optimal use of capital and resources, delivering high-level financial reporting, and consolidating budgets. As Head of Finance you will also oversee the implementation of sound cash flow management processes and seek ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs throughout the business.

Day to Day of the role:

• Supervise all financial tasks across the group to ensure beneficial use of capital and resources.
• Deliver comprehensive financial reporting and in-depth analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Oversee the maintenance of accurate financial systems and processes, including revenue processing.
• Ensure compliance with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations and financial requirements.
• Provide regular, timely financial management information, including monthly accounts with strategic analysis.
• Act as the Senior Accounting Officer for the company.
• Serve as a member of the Senior Management Team, presenting financial information and reports to the Board.
• Oversee strategic financial leadership for mergers and acquisitions.
• Develop financial strategies, including risk mitigation plans and opportunity forecasting.
• Implement and maintain sound cash flow management processes.
• Seek efficiencies and opportunities to reduce costs across the business.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with superior mathematical skills.
• Proven experience as a Head of Finance or similar role.
• Proficient in MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP).
• An analytical mind with strategic ability.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, corporate finance, accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
• Knowledge of HMRC rules, IT and accounting systems, and FCA regulations.
