Pineapple Careers is delighted to partner with a leading School located on the outskirts of Horsham to recruit a Maintenance Person on a full-time, permanent basis. Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake routine and emergency site repairs, redecoration, maintenance and refurbishment work to all areas of the school
  • Carry out a variety of routine repairs and maintenance to ensure the schools facilities are in top condition
  • Operate and maintain tools, equipment and materials efficiently to complete jobs to a high standard
  • Collaborate with the team to provide support across the schools facilities as needed
  • Ensuring all Health & Safety requirements are adhered to and always maintained

Key Skills:

  • Proactive self-starter with enthusiasm for delivering high-quality results
  • Strong practical skills in building maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, decorating, and basic electrical work
  • Flexible and willing to take on a diverse range of tasks to support the school
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and always prioritises Health & Safety in all tasks
  • Strong team player, happy to assist colleagues when needed
  • Holds a valid UK Drivers Licence
  • A full DBS check is required for this role

Personal Profile:

  • Proven experience in building, grounds, or facilities maintenance
  • Confident in the use of a wide range of hand and power tools
  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks as required
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Hardworking, adaptable, and detail-oriented

Salary & Benefits:

  • £29,000
  • Monday to Friday, 08.00 16.30
  • Generous Pension Contribution
