Certain Advantage are hiring for x2 Team Leads and x2 Support Engineers based in Horsham or Chichester.
This is a 5-month initial contract that requires onsite work and travel to various locations around the Sussex area.
The company
This role is with a public sector organisation, providing an opportunity to work on impactful projects that contribute to public services. Successful candidates will play a key role in supporting the organisation's operations, working collaboratively with teams in Horsham or Chichester to ensure the effective delivery of services.
Responsibilities:
- Site audits - Conduct site audits of extant personal computing technology (detailed instructions to be provided to winning supplier), i.e. make a record ('site audit report') of IT equipment currently on site, and share with the SCW Project Manager so they can determine what streamlining is needed. This exercise would usually be conducted approx. 1 month in advance of streamlining implementation. Typically, a practice will have between 20-150 PCs typically connected to a single monitor. Laptops may or may not be used in conjunction with a docking station.
- Streamlining implementation - E.g. Collect new IT equipment allocation from SCW storage locations across Sussex (with exact locations being shared with the winning supplier).Install existing and new IT equipment according to a defined work package.
- Collaborate with remote support to confirm correct app server configuration.
- Identify, record, reinstall and test clinical software, e.g. EMIS, Docman, SytemOne, and all other applications.
- Complete 'streamlining' paperwork, e.g. progress reports, end of streamlining asset reports, stock reports, ad-hoc delivery reports, any other report regarding the work package as reasonably requested.
The individual:
- Adherence to SCW policies, procedures, and processes shared as part of the onboarding / induction from SCW following the supplier's recruitment of the engineers.
- Work undertaken to a high standard with customer generated feedback being a key indicator of quality.
- IT Engineers to travel to sites across the counties of East and West Sussex (incl. Brighton and Hove) and use SCW software and physical equipment; laptops, hard drives, and imaging devices (USB Encrypted drives), provided by the SCW Project Manager.
- Knowledge and experience of MS Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 OS (for PCs and app servers).
- Experience with clinical software applications (e.g. EMIS and TPP SystmOne).
