Customs and Logistics Administrator

The Role

Due to business expansion, a brand-new opportunity has arisen for a Customs and Logistics Administrator to join a well-established minibus and coach manufacturer and retailer. This new role is responsible for supporting the business in arranging the movement of vehicles, along with any import export documentation required and finally organising customs clearance in the relevant countries.

  • Controlling the movement of vehicles throughout the sales process (into EU and back from EU and Turkey)
  • Obtaining certification, paperwork and invoices for customs procedures and vehicle registrations
  • Arranging transport and shipping of vehicles within the EU and Turkey and working with aftersales managers to arrange collections/deliveries
  • Preparing customs declarations on Descartes e-customs (imports and exports)
  • Creating and monitoring GMRs and PBNs (Ireland)
  • Creating TSS declarations for vehicles moving to Northern Ireland and submitting supplementary declarations before the deadline

Requirements

We would expect the successful Customs and Logistics Administrator to be a detail-oriented administrator. Ideally you will have experience working in an import export role and have a familiarity of customs clearance. Having a knowledge of Outward Processing would be beneficial, but training can be provided. You will be a naturally organised individual with a high level of accuracy and eye for detail applied to your work. This role would suit someone who has worked as an Import / Export Administrator, Customs Administrator or as a Logistics coordinator.

You will be joining a leading luxury minibus, coach manufacturer and retailer based in Southwater, West Sussex. They have experienced fantastic growth in recent years and continue to diversify and grow their offering to their clients. They operate out of a brand-new, purpose-built office. Due to location, your own transport is required for this role.
