Materials Handler

Are you an organised and detail-oriented individual with experience in materials handling? We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Materials Handler to join a growing team in a key industry sector.

Salary: £23,600 per annum + Annual bonus

Finish 12.45pm Fridays

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate the timely and cost-effective movement of materials, products, and support services to the point of need.

Receive, check, and book in materials, ensuring accurate data entry into the computer system.

Unload and load delivery vehicles using the company’s Fork Lift Truck as needed.

Assist the Materials Team Leader in achieving departmental KPI objectives and contribute to the 6-S programme.

Prepare and issue kitted parts for manufacture, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Maintain and manage stock, ensuring proper labelling, secure storage, and a tidy environment.

Support daily cycle counts and contribute to stock minimisation tasks.

Control the correct disposal of materials following COSHH/ISO14001 regulations, including recycling packaging materials.

Uphold company policies related to quality and environmental standards (ISO9001 and ISO14001).

Requirements:

Experience in materials handling within a warehouse or production environment.

Fork Lift Truck experience is advantageous.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.

Knowledge of FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory methods is beneficial.

Excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
