- Curriculum Development:Design and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and educational standards.
- Instruction:Deliver high-quality instruction in various branches of science, including biology, chemistry, physics, and earth sciences.
- Assessment:Evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Classroom Management:Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respect.
- Professional Development:Stay updated with the latest educational trends and advancements in science education through continuous professional development.
- Collaboration:Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the school administration to support student success and school initiatives.
- Extracurricular Activities:Lead or participate in science-related extracurricular activities, such as science clubs, fairs, and field trips.
Qualifications:
- Education:Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Certification:Valid teaching certification for secondary education.
- Experience:Previous teaching experience in a secondary school setting is highly desirable.
- Skills:Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills. The ability to engage and motivate students with diverse learning needs.
