About the Role:

As a Senior Social Work Practitioner in the Safeguarding Adults Hub, you will be at the forefront of managing and overseeing complex cases. Your expertise will be crucial in triaging safeguarding referrals, conducting risk assessments, and implementing effective support plans. You will also provide professional supervision and guidance to social workers and unregistered practitioners, ensuring that our team consistently upholds best practices and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on complex safeguarding enquiries, managing a varied and challenging caseload.
  • Provide professional supervision and mentorship to social workers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.
  • Collaborate effectively with statutory partners, providers, and other agencies to deliver integrated and comprehensive support services.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and Social Work England professional standards.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative practices, policies, and procedures that enhance service delivery.
  • Deputise for the Team Manager in day-to-day management and team development.
  • Support thematic improvement projects, case reviews, and audits to drive service excellence.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

To excel in this role, you should be a Senior Social Work Practitioner or above, with extensive experience in safeguarding and adult services. You will bring advanced knowledge of social work theories, methods, and interventions, along with a strong understanding of relevant legislation such as the Care Act 2014. Your ability to manage complex situations, provide leadership, and deliver evidence-based solutions will be key to your success.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Minimum 2 years post qualified experience as a social worker in the UK
  • Proven track record of managing complex safeguarding cases.
  • Strong leadership and supervision skills.
  • Expertise in risk assessment, solution-focused practice, and strengths-based approaches.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate in multidisciplinary settings.
  • Valid, full driving licence (ESSENTIAL)
