Houghton-Le-Spring

£12.70 per hour

Assist the Materials & Logistics departments with daily tasks, ensuring customer requirements and internal KPI’s are met.

Ensure the development and use of ‘best in class practice.

Monday to Friday 07:00 to 15:00

  • Must be able to communicate at a high level to production, logistics employees and management.
  • This position must be computer literate due to the required data input of inventory physical count.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Problem solving capabilities is a must.
  •  Ensure the integrity of the physical count of the in-house inventory via cycle counting and other duties assigned. Conducts weekly inventory.
  • Reporting physical count, posted Reconciliation, damaged “On Hold” quantity Quality Hold
  • Daily cycle counts against booked inventory.
  • Daily review of backlog to check inventory shortages.
  • Proactively checks First-in First-out (FIFO) items for proper rotation.
  • Maintain a working relationship with the Warehouse Manager and the Senior Master Scheduler
  • Maintain excellent working conditions, a safe work environment, and high morale within the plant.
  • Keep Warehouse and Logistics teams informed regarding problems or situations that may affect the overall production operation of the plant.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Follow departmental procedures and work methods to ensure 100% delivery of production materials to line.
  • Continuously look to develop existing procedures and methods leading to internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Promote corporate work ethics, teamwork and a general culture of change and flexibility within all team members to develop the continuous improvement initiative within the Company.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
