  • Our client in Houghton Le Spring is seeking a Process Engineer to work 40 hours per week from 08:00 am to 04:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

  • The position offers a salary of £40,000 per annum and requires at least 3 years of relevant experience in process engineering.
  • A full UK driving license is also required for this role.

Our client, based in Houghton Le Spring, is looking for a Process Engineer. 

Hours of work would be 08.00am - 04.00pm - 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities will include: 

  • Process engineering activities that include identification and initiation of plant improvement projects 
  • Support of plant capital projects
  • Technical support to production teams
  • Resolution of all technical regulatory issues and development / presentation of technical training
  • Perform complex assignments often requiring the development of new or improved products/processes/techniques
  • Assess feasibility and soundness of proposed supporting engineering tests/products/equipment. 
  • Coordinate planning, organisation, and implementation of engineering projects within constraints of specific objectives and target dates as specified by management
  • Manage multiple assignments while working closely with other staff members, production teams and maintenance personnel
  • The position requires an ability to interpret on a broad basis, principles, theories, and concepts of a process engineering specialty
  • Participate in production team activities. Provide guidance to Operations regarding process conditions and products campaign start-ups and transitions
  • Participate in the preparation of process reports, regulatory reports and process manufacturing instructions
  • Statistical process control

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in a science subject - ideally Chemical Engineering
  • Determined nature, with ability to take responsibility
  • Effective internal and external communications skills
  • Full UK driving license is required
