Lovell’s North East Region are seeking an experienced, highly competent, enthusiastic professional to support and play a pivotal role in the continued rapid growth of the Division.

Reporting directly to the Head of Land & Partnerships, the Senior Development Manager will oversee the development cycle where new opportunities brought into the business are successfully bid for and subsequently secured into contract - facilitating delivery of the region’s ambitious growth plans.

You will enter negotiations and formulate offers to pursue land opportunities in order to meet our land requirements; and within annual budgets and forecasts. You will have a sound knowledge of all commercial and technical aspects covering the acquisition of land, and associated legal agreements; developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of legal issues relating to contracts, joint ventures and partnerships.

Through collaboration you will act as a conduit between the Land & Partnerships function and other internal disciplines that nurture the acquisition of land to ensure development opportunities are optimised; and effective working relationships are developed to assist in the land acquisition process - coordinating the collation of acquisition packs for presentation to the Leadership Team and Board in line with our approval process.

Candidates will hold ONC/OND or HND/HNC level in a development related subject, with thorough knowledge of the start-to-finish development process from site identification, valuations / viability, land transactions and de-risking, along with demonstrable experience in a land management and acquisition role. With excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, you’ll have strong communication and negotiations skills, working at all levels in a clear and concise manner. A Bachelors Degree / Relevant Professional Qualification, Certificate or Diploma in Land Management and or appropriate professional membership, MRICS would be desirable, however is not essential.

A UK full driving license is essential, as you will be required to travel around the region.
