We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join the team of a large manufacturing and distibution company based in Durham. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our dispatch and customer support functions. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Day-to-day of the role:- Manage dispatch processes, including picking and packing, and issuance of certificates of conformity.
- Handle invoicing tasks such as generating advice notes, invoicing, and creating barcodes for shipping.
- Provide customer support by sending tracking numbers and invoices, arranging RMA, and organising purchasing collections.
- Liaise with transport companies for pricing, shipping queries, harmonised tariff queries, and customs queries.
- Oversee Health & Safety responsibilities, including risk assessments, H&S meeting minutes, inductions, first aid kits, COSHH paperwork, and record-keeping.
- Perform general duties such as maintaining holiday records, sales order checks, holiday cover, Kingfisher administration, and ad-hoc office duties.
- A proactive self-starter who can work effectively without constant supervision.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- A responsible and highly motivated individual who takes ownership of their work.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and external partners.
- Capable of using initiative to solve problems and improve processes.
