A Financial Accountant is needed to support the Accounting & Finance department of a Aviation company. The individual will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers, as well as performing general bookkeeping and accounting work.

Description
Financial Accountant responsibilities
- Prepare, examine, and analyse financial reports and records
- Perform general bookkeeping
- Ensure financial reporting deadlines are met
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
- Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities
- Monitor and support taxation requirements
- Prepare for financial audit and coordinate the audit process
- Oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting or Finance
- Studying towards a professional accounting qualification from an accredited body
- Experience with financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent
- Strong understanding of economic and banking processes
- Strong analytical skills
- Positive, proactive, and can-do attitude towards tasks and challenges
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- SAP knowledge is desirable, but not essential
