Property Accountant, Hounslow, £32,000 to £40,000My Client, a growing independent and boutique estate agency with a portfolio all over West London, are seeking a Property Accountant to joint their team in their team in Hounslow.Fluency in Punjabi or Hindi is highly desired, as many of their clients and suppliers communicate in these languages.Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide analysis to support decision-making.
  • Taxation: Handle tax planning and ensure compliance with tax laws. Prepare and submit tax returns accurately and on time.
  • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic planning, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve overall financial performance.
  • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial discrepancies.
  • Audits: Coordinate and support external audits, address audit queries, and implement audit recommendations.
  • Vendor and Client Management: Oversee financial transactions with vendors and clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contractual terms.
  • Compliance and Regulation: Stay updated on accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices. Implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
  • Financial Advice: Offer financial advice and guidance to the management team on business decisions and investments.

Requirements

  • Accounts qualification is essential (ACCA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in the real estate or property sector.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
