Job Overview

Due to internal expansion an exciting opportunity is available for a Carnet Administrator for this established growing events freight forwarder based Central Heathrow. The carnet team are responsible for managing and overseeing the issuing, processing, and tracking of ATA Carnets, which are international customs documents used for the temporary importation of goods. In addition to the primary carnet duties there are addition tasks to perform as part of the role such as, meeting and greeting clients, helping organise company socials and ordering the weekly shopping.

This position will suit someone either with a basic knowledge of logistics/forwarding with strong admin and IT skills. Or a good general administrator who is confident and a good organizer. A driving licence is required.

Key Responsibilities for the Carnet Administrator

  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of carnet applications, this will include logging, returning, tracking claims and posting carnets to customers.
  • Provide guidance to clients and colleagues on carnet regulations and requirements.
  • Follow our existing processes on maintaining accurate records by keeping our carnet logs up to date.
  • Print and build carnets.
  • Jointly monitor the carnet inbox.
  • Liaise with the chambers to resolve any issues
  • When required, dropping carnets off at the post office (using the company car or own car)
  • Answer the office phones, handle carnet related questions or transfer calls to other Answer the door buzzer and meet and greet clients, offering them drinks and informing colleagues of their arrival.
  • Help keep track of stationery supplies and carnet stationery, placing orders when Being part of a rota with operations to complete office filing
  • Order weekly shopping
  • Help organise company socials and events

Skills, qualifications & experience for the Carnet Administrator

  • Office admin experience (essential) Experience using with MS Excel Experience working with MS Outlook Strong time management skills
