Their operations staff control shipments from door to door during import and export air freight procedures. They require an operations staff member who is positive, motivated and wants to be part of a specialised team of Dangerous Goods Airfreight Specialists.Job Type: Full-timePay:28-32kSchedule: 8-hour shift Monday to Friday 9am-5pmBenefits:* Company pension* Free parking* On-site parkingDuties will include:* Managing agents and customers directly.* Liaising with customers for every aspect of their shipment.* Finding solutions by Air, Road & Sea for highly regulated shipments.* Making export airline bookings with airlines.* Tracking shipments and providing updates.* Customer invoicing and creditor invoice processing in a timely manner.* Collection and delivery of freight* Assisting with packing, documentation, driving, warehousing and other tasks from time to time.* Handling/Lifting packages up to 30kgThe successful applicant must have:* Knowledge of Airfreight Operations with a Freight Forwarder.* DG accredited would be an advantage.* Computer literacy MS Word, MS Excel and Gmail.* Good communication skills* Attention to detail and be able to work independently as well as working within a team environment.* Ability to commute/relocate: HounslowExperience:* Logistics: 2 years (Required)* DG : 1 year (Required)License/Certification:* Driver's license (Required)* IATA Certification (Preferred)Work Location: In personExperience:* Airfreight Operations: 2 years (required)* Hazmat: 1 year (preferred)Licence/Certification:* IATA DG BY AIR CERTIFICATE (preferred)
