Exciting SAMEDAY CONTROLLER opportunity with a leading logistics company in the UK, specialising in the next-day and same-day delivery of both Air & Sea Freight.
The opportuity is to manage and control Clients Sameday and AOG requirements via the clients network and various sub-contractors. Ensuring the service meets clients’ expectations and agreed KPIs.
The successful individual will be able to plan and develop systems and procedures to improve operating quality and efficiency of the depot. Supervise other members of staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
To put it simply; We seek somebody who is conscientious, pro-active and can act quickly. A driven and "can-do" personality. And somebody who knows Sameday Delivery work very well.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Being a point of contact for Sameday / AOG
- Efficiently utilising the available resources to deliver excellent service to customers.
- Work in conjunction with the Operations Manager to ensure the function runs as efficiently as possible.
- Ensuring accurate storage and prompt retrieval of information
- Ensuring individuals, teams, colleagues, managers and clients are advised of appropriate information.
- Maintain close relationships with Sameday / AOG clients.
- Obtaining and processing information to enable appropriate decisions to be made.
- Assisting when required in the induction and appropriate training of individuals.
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in Sameday or On-Demand courier.
- Experience with client and Driver support.
- In depth knowledge of courier requirements.
- Knowledge of Aviation Security.
- Ability to work under pressure in busy fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Highly organised and excellent time management skills.
- Ability to proactively develop clients through dynamic pricing as required.
- Team player as well as able to work independently.
- Hard-working, flexible.
- Acts professionally and confidently at all times.
