We are recruiting for a night manager role with my client who have a major IT Infrastructure project at Heathrow Airport which requires a person to oversee various works, staff and be the point of call for any escalations that may occur.
this role is for a Night Shift Manager to work on the Heathrow Airport Technology Delivery Partner (TDP) Project.
The role will be based at Heathrow Airport 5 Nights a week (typically Monday to Friday however the occasional Sunday to Thursday shift pattern may apply).
The candidate will be responsible for the night-time site management and delivery of implementation projects across the campus in the installation of physical infrastructure and active network equipment, internally and externally.
The project is involved in large-scale construction work at the airport and adherence to relevant Health and Safety requirements is paramount.

Shifts: Mon- Fri - 20.00-04.00
Pay Rate: £350 Umbrella (illustration enclosed, the role is inside of IR35 so we cannot pay CIS or Limited company)
Contract Lenth: 12 months rolling

Core Activities
To oversee and manage all IT construction activities during night shifts, ensuring projects works are completed in line with both Fujitsu and Heathrow’s rules and safe working procedures.
To actively promote a positive health and safety culture.
To ensure the implementation of all nightly activity briefings (NABS) are delivered to all operatives, including 3rd party contractors at the start of each shift, as well as ensuring Engineer time keeping, general housekeeping, signing in and out of both personnel and material are adhered to.
Ensure that all members of their working party are inducted and carry out inductions as required.
Ensuring that all works adequately and diligently Supervised throughout the night shift and all site security and access arrangements are monitored and correctly implemented in line with the RAMS by the Supervisor throughout the shift (Segregation, signage, boards, etc).
Stop work immediately if there is potential risk / hazard identified that has not been adequately controlled and act as a point of escalation for the Supervisors / Engineering teams.
To carry out and record site and operational inspection covering all work areas and persons under their control with particular focus on high-risk activities
That each working area being supervised is visited at a minimum of once per shift with the inspection being recorded on the Point of work Risk assessment which is to then be uploaded to the relevant Teams project folder).
A copy of all relevant site information is available at the point of works including but not limited to the RAMS, POWRA, Asbestos register, briefings, H&S information)
To ensure that working areas are organised and well maintained by the Supervisor to enable works to be carried out to the required standard with minimum risk to personnel, equipment, and materials.
All near misses are reported to the relevant PM/SPSE/ADM/H&S Manager.
Any alterations or deviations from the agreed safe methodologies of work captured, assessed and authorised by the PM/SPSE/H&S Manager prior to commencement where applicable.
They liaise with other Contractors to ensure a clear understanding of work areas and responsibilities where applicable.
Ensure inspections of all access equipment is carried out by a qualified/competent person are completed before use and records stored within the relevant Teams project site safety folder.
Will escalate any resource issues to the Airport Delivery Manager.
Can visit / drive to all areas of the campus, to allow the successful implementation of an inspection schedule
Experience Required
Has a clear knowledge and experience of delivering on-site IT infrastructure projects within challenging operational environments.
Can demonstrate knowledge of successfully managing multiple teams at the same time.
Can demonstrate knowledge of safe working practices.
Aviation or Rail experience preferable.
Technical Experience:
Cabling and Physical Infrastructure installation.
Preferably has experience of Heathrow and airport equipment, systems, processes, and installation standards.
Preferably has knowledge of network infrastructure, fault finding and use of test equipment.
Qualifications:
SMSTS.
CSCS / ECS (Supervisor / Management Level)
Driving licence.
Other required training will be provided
You must be able to demonstratable 5 year working history to enable Airside pass authorisation.
