Shan Shui is a Halal Chinese restaurant inspired by Shanghai in the 1920s when it used to be the place to be for art, architecture, dance halls and glitzy restaurants. Our Shan Shui experience is reminiscent of Old Shanghai where female celebrities had poise and impeccable fashion sense.
The menu features a selection of Chinese favourites along with the culinary wonders of South-East Asia. Shan Shui also serves up a wide range of bite-sized Dim Sum that are steamed fresh daily. Our dumplings and bao buns are presented in piping hot bamboo steamer baskets and are perfect for sharing.

As a Chef de Partie, you will ...
- Set up the kitchen and stations before service, ensuring all food containers and tools are ready.
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and maintain high-quality standards.
- Cook specific portions for each plated dish and assist with marinating, cutting, and precooking ingredients.
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and organised kitchen area.
- Utilise various Southeast Asian cooking methods such as stir-fry, steam, braise, grill, and frying with skill and precision.
- Work efficiently with woks and other kitchen equipment while ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and creative plating of dishes.
- Assist in wrapping, storing, and cleaning at the end of the shift, keeping the kitchen ready for the next service.
