Business Development Manager responsibilities :

  • Work closely with the operations Manager and Sales Director to implement the sales strategy and business plan for the area, making best use of C&D fleet capacity to collect from prospect customers.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets in line with our growth plans across all services.
  • Define and manage customer prospects to maximise sales growth.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of our product portfolio and all associated features and benefits and to tailor those benefits to the needs of the customer.
  • Producing regular sales reports and pipeline activity reports
  • To oversee and ensure the smooth running of accounts placed in your ownership
  • Create relationships with customers and prospects, becoming a trusted advisor
  • Educating customers about our business solutions.
  • Analysing consumer needs and developing innovative solutions.
  • Reach out to existing accounts brought on historically and enquire about their changing needs or additional opportunities to up sell services
  • Practice effective sales management techniques
  • Liaise with clients who express concerns, complaints or issues
  • Appropriately communicating development progress and any issues internally and with clients • Managing the client’s expectations regarding on-boarding new services
  • Working with credit control & billing team to manage account spend, balances, overdue invoices and invoice disputes.

Day to Day Duties

  • Prospecting new leads
  • Updating pipelines
  • Setting and attending sales meetings
  • Closing deals
  • Liaising with relevant dept to ensure account is setup and trades correctly
