Reception Teacher (with TLR)

  • Location: Hounslow, West London
  • Position: Recpetion Class Teacher (Full-Time, Mon-Fri)

We are seeking an experienced Reception Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive one-form entry primary school in Hounslow from after half-term. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key part of a supportive and forward-thinking school community, working within a dynamic Early Years team. A middle leadership TLR is also available for the right candidate, with the opportunity to lead the EYFS and KS1 phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Foster a positive, stimulating, and supportive classroom environment that encourages children's curiosity and a love for learning.
  • Monitor and track pupil progress, ensuring individual needs are met through tailored teaching strategies.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents and carers to keep them informed of their child's development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Early Years team to share best practices and contribute to the school's ongoing success.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and significant experience in teaching within the EYFS.
  • A deep understanding of early childhood development and a passion for inspiring young learners.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and flexible approach.
  • A commitment to professional growth and a desire to contribute to the wider school community.

Middle Leadership (TLR) Opportunity: For the right candidate, the school are offering a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) for leadership across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1). This role involves leading on curriculum development, supporting colleagues, and driving initiatives to ensure high-quality teaching and learning in these crucial early stages.
