EYFS Teaching Assistant | ASAP

Teach Plus is currently working with a 3-form entry, inclusive, ambitious primary school who are seeking a full-time EYFS Teaching Assistant to work in a Reception Class to start ASAP.

The school offers a creative, stimulating curriculum and learning environment, encouraging pupils to be confident and individual, resulting in engaged learners who are excited to come into school and learn. Everyone within the school cares incredibly about each other's wellbeing and the pupil's mental health and wellbeing. The senior leadership team set high expectations, resulting in teachers being motivated by their leaders' ambitions for the pupils and whole school.

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant you will be expected to:

  • EYFS Teaching Assistant's are expected to support the lead teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • EYFS Teaching Assistant's will establish positive relationships with the pupils, parents, class teachers and other members of staff across the school
  • EYFS Teaching Assistant's will monitor and document the progress of each child and communicate observations to the lead teacher
  • EYFS Teaching Assistant's will be responsible for setting up continuous provision indoors and outdoors
  • EYFS Teaching Assistant's will also run Interventions and Phonics Booster sessions to small groups of children

The ideal candidate for an EYFS Teaching Assistant role will have:

  • Experience working in an EYFS setting, ideally within a primary school
  • Experience teaching Phonics
  • A flexible, proactive attitude who are passionate about improving the environment and learning for all pupils
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
