Tradewind Recruitment are looking to appoint a year 2 Teaching Assistant on behalf of a progressive and inclusive 3-form entry primary academy located in Hounslow

This Hounslow- based primary school are looking to appoint an enthusiastic teaching assistant that is skilled and confident in teaching the KS1 curriculum.

About the role:

  • Help reinforce concepts for individual pupils or small groups
  • Provide additional support for pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a productive learning environment
  • Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies
  • Offer emotional and social support to students as needed
  • Assist in developing pupils' literacy, numeracy, and overall learning skills
  • Help with pupils' personal care needs if required
  • Prepare teaching materials and resources for lessons
  • Set up and tidy away classroom materials, equipment, and displays
  • Supervise pupils during playtime, lunchtime, or on school trips
  • Ensure pupils' health and safety, reporting any concerns to the teacher
  • Help with marking and recording students' work
  • Carry out administrative tasks like photocopying, filing, or organising displays

Requirements:

  • Have experience as a teaching assistant in UK-Based schools
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum
  • Have a positive and ambitious attitude to learning
  • Must be available full-time and long-term from November
