Job Opportunity: Part-Time Student Support Assistant in Education

Tradewind is collaborating with a college in Hounslow, a vibrant hub for education and personal development, to find a dedicated Student Support Assistant. This part-time role, offering three days a week from 8:45 AM to 4:40 PM, is ideal for individuals passionate about fostering positive educational experiences for students.

About the Role:As a Student Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the educational environment by providing tailored support to students, especially those facing behavioral challenges. Your efforts will help create an inclusive and encouraging atmosphere that allows all students to thrive academically and emotionally. You will work closely with teaching staff, contributing to effective classroom management and the overall success of the learning community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students, particularly those with behavioral challenges.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement effective behavior management strategies.
  • Assist in the educational and emotional development of individual students.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students who have behavioral difficulties.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A positive, patient demeanor, committed to student success.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience with secondary school students.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
  • Professional reference checks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Hours: Part-time (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, subject to change) from 8:45 AM to 4:40 PM.
