A cabling supervisor with experience of overseeing engineering teams installing structured cabling and fibre installations. This includes Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a cabling, voice and fibre optic installations.
Responsibilities:
- Cable pulling, dressing in and termination & testing of voice, CAT6 and fibre cables within an Airport or Rail environment
- Installing comms cables (CAT6, Voice and Fibre multicore.
- Installing of various types of containment (tray / basket)
- Termination of CAT6 panels and outlets
- Testing copper & fibre cables using Fluke DSX and OTDR preferred
- Patching cat6 and fibre cables
- Fault Finding issues.
- Termination of multicore Fibre using a splicer (Fujikura 60s / 70S experience and familiarity or similar preferred)
A valid and in date ECS or CSCS supervisor card is required.
This is a site-based position 5 days per week and includes shift covering days and nights.
