About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrician with a background in airport projects. The Electrician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems within critical airport environments. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with solid technical skills, particularly in working on electrical systems in high-traffic, highly regulated airport facilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working on electrical projects in airport-related environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across various airport facilities, including terminals, baggage handling systems, and airfield lighting.
- Ensure all electrical installations and systems comply with airport regulations, including TSA, FAA, and local safety standards.
- Perform routine inspections to ensure high-quality electrical work and adherence to safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults, providing prompt solutions to minimize downtime and ensure the safety of airport operations.
- Work closely with airport authorities, contractors, and other project teams to ensure smooth integration of electrical systems with other airport infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate records of all electrical work, including risk assessments, method statements, and compliance documentation.
- Follow health and safety procedures and ensure safe working practices on-site at all times.
- Collaborate with other electricians and teams to ensure efficient work practices and meet project deadlines.
Requirements:
- ECS Gold Card (Electrical Certification Scheme).
- Proven experience as anElectrician within the airport or large-scale infrastructure sector.
- Strong knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance, and safety standards for high-traffic environments.
- Experience in working on complex electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Solid understanding of health and safety practices and regulations in the electrical trade.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and airport authorities.
- Previous experience working in airport projects or high-security environments is desirable.
