Airside Driver

M4 Recruitmentare seeking a skilled and reliable Airside Driver to join our team at Heathrow Airport. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various airside vehicles to transport cargo, baggage, and other essential items efficiently and safely within the airside operations area. This role requires strict adherence to airport regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate airside vehicles to transport cargo, baggage, and equipment safely within designated areas.
• Ensure all transported items are handled securely and in compliance with company and airport regulations.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance to ensure airside vehicles are in safe working condition.
• Assist in the timely and efficient movement of cargo and baggage, ensuring proper handling and delivery.
• Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth airside operations.
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
• Accurately complete all necessary documentation and records in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Valid HGV License- Minimum C1 License. PCV license accepted:Required for operating airside vehicles.
• 5-Year Work History:We will require a 5-year work history from HMRC app or website.
• DBS Check:A clean Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is mandatory.
• Experience:Previous experience driving vehicles in high-security or high-pressure environments, preferably at an airport or similar.
• Training:Must complete Airside Driver Training before commencing employment.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures.
• Good communication skills and a strong team player.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Availability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Shift Pattern:

• The role operates on a 4 on, 2 off shift pattern.
• Shifts consist of two early shifts followed by two late shifts.
• Flexibility to work different times of the day is essential.

Additional Information:

• Successful candidates will be required to undergo additional security checks as part of the airport's compliance requirements.
• Airside Driver Training:All candidates must complete mandatory airside driving training before starting work. This training covers essential skills and safety regulations for airside operations.
• Full training will be provided to ensure compliance with airport regulations and safety standards.
