About the RoleA well-regarded secondary school in Hounslow is looking for a confident and proactive Cover Supervisor to join their team from 22nd April 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and eager to support students in a classroom setting.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing classroom behaviour and overseeing pre-planned lessons in the absence of teaching staff. You don't need to be a qualified teacher - but experience working in a school or with young people is highly desirable. This role is ideal for aspiring teachers or individuals looking to gain more school-based experience in a secondary setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise students during lesson time across a range of subjects.
Ensure students remain on task with work that has been set by the absent teacher.
Maintain a calm, focused and respectful classroom environment.
Follow the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies.
Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate members of staff.
Provide brief feedback on student conduct and lesson outcomes.

Candidate Profile:We are looking for a Cover Supervisor who:

Has experience working in a school setting or with young people (preferred but not essential).
Is confident managing behaviour and communicating effectively with students aged 11-18.
Is adaptable, organised, and calm under pressure.
Can follow instructions and uphold school policies consistently.
Has a genuine interest in education and supporting young learners.
