We are seeking an experienced Project Freight Forwarder to join our clients Int'l Projects Division. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in handling out-of-gauge (OOG) shipments and a background in the oil, gas, and energy sectors. This role involves coordinating and managing the transportation of oversized and heavy cargoes (multimodal), ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Oversee and manage freight forwarding projects from inception to completion, ensuring all logistics requirements are met.
  • Out-of-Gauge Shipments: Handle the planning, coordination, and execution of OOG shipments, and special handling requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with carriers, shipping lines, and other logistics service providers to negotiate rates and secure transportation services.
  • Documentation: Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, air waybills and compliance paperwork.
  • Customer Service: Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Compliance: Ensure all shipments comply with international and local regulations, including health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs, ensuring budget adherence and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on project status, shipment progress, and any issues encountered.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in freight forwarding, with a focus on the oil, gas, and energy sector and OOG shipments.
  • Skills:
    • Strong project management skills.
