Job Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Gardener with qualifications PA1, PA2, and PA6, who is comfortable operating vehicles to carry out gardening duties on various sites. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to safely and efficiently manage garden maintenance tasks while driving company vehicles to multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:-
Horticulture Duties:
- Maintain and manage a variety of garden spaces, including lawns, flowerbeds, hedges, and trees.
- Carry out general gardening tasks such as planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching.
- Operate and maintain a range of gardening machinery including strimmers, hedge trimmers, lawnmowers, and chainsaws.
- Apply pesticides and fertilizers as needed (PA6 required for safe pesticide application).
- Ensure the garden areas are clean, tidy, and well-maintained.

Driving Responsibilities:
- Drive company vehicles to various job sites across [region or city].
- Ensure safe transport of tools, machinery, and plants to and from work locations.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure regular maintenance checks are carried out (oil, tire checks, etc.).
- Be familiar with local roads and regulations, ensuring efficient travel between sites.

Health & Safety:
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the safe handling of tools and chemicals.
- Report any maintenance needs or equipment faults.
- Ensure the site is safe for clients and the public while working.

Customer Interaction:
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their gardening needs.
- Demonstrate knowledge of plant care and landscaping techniques to clients when necessary.
- Qualifications:
- PA1, PA2, and PA6 certificates in pesticide application.
- Full, clean UK driving license (or equivalent, if applicable) with the ability to drive company vehicles.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in gardening or horticulture.
- Familiarity with garden machinery and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Skills:
- Strong plant knowledge and horticultural expertise.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and customer-focused attitude.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures in gardening.
- Experience working in a variety of garden settings, including residential, commercial, and public spaces.
- Additional horticultural qualifications (e.g., RHS level).
