Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Workshop Supervisor to oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure the highest standards of safety and service delivery. This role involves supervising both workshop and airside activities, delegating tasks effectively, and fostering a productive, safe, and customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate workshop staff, maximizing efficiency and chargeable hours through accurate job and parts allocation.

Assign tasks to technicians using the SAP system for optimal workflow.

Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a secure work environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.

Oversee workshop maintenance and excellence, ensuring compliance with ISO standards.

Manage and record tooling and equipment, including broken or new items, to ensure compliance with audit requirements.

Generate customer quotes in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Conduct yard inspections at the start of each shift, maintaining accurate job status updates on the whiteboard.

Monitor parts inventory daily, ensuring orders are placed, received, and correctly allocated.

Report incidents, near misses, and accidents for proper follow-up and investigation.

Address underperformance issues, support performance reviews, and assist in disciplinary procedures as required

Team & Operational Scope:

Oversee a team of 20-30 staff across workshop and airside operations.

Manage a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment of varying sizes and functions.

Collaborate with key stakeholders, including technicians, refuellers, shunters, parts teams, customers, and senior management.
Required Skills & Experience:

Thorough knowledge of workshop operations and health & safety regulations.

Supervisory experience in a fast-paced operational environment (essential).

Background in vehicle maintenance, logistics, or fleet management.
Qualifications:

Level 3 qualification in Motor Mechanics (required).

HGV Motor Mechanics certification (desirable)
