Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Economics Teacher to join our dynamic faculty team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality economics education to students at Key Stages 4 and 5. This role involves planning and teaching engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective economics lessons for GCSE and A-Level students.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of all students.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students, promoting their academic and personal development.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and school-wide events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and coherent approach to the teaching of economics.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Economics or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching Economics at secondary school level, preferably including A-Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for economics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
