We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder to join our clients Projects Division. This role involves coordinating and managing the transportation of oversized and heavy cargoes (multimodal - Air &Sea), ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage freight forwarding projects from inception to completion, ensuring all logistics requirements are met.
  • Liaise with carriers, shipping lines, and other logistics service providers to negotiate rates and secure transportation services.
  • Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading, air waybills and compliance paperwork.
  • Ensure all shipments comply with international and local regulations
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring budget adherence and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Generate regular reports on project status, shipment progress, and any issues encountered.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in freight forwarding operations - Essential
  • Skills:
    • OOG knowledge advantageous. Good Multimodal Ops essential
    • Proficient in logistics software and tools (Cargowise user advantageous though not essential)
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
