Our client is seeking an experienced Depot Manager to join their dynamic and thriving team. In this role, you will report directly to the Operations Director and play a key role in driving operational excellence and team development.
As Depot Manager, you will oversee all activities at the depot, ensuring efficient operations and continuous improvement. You will provide strong leadership, training, and development to build a high-performing team while fostering clear communication and a culture of workplace Health & Safety. Your responsibilities will include optimising the depot layout, maintaining a clean and organised working environment, and leading business improvement initiatives to ensure staff are trained and proficient in new systems.
To succeed, you should have proven experience managing teams of at least 15 employees, with excellent people management and coaching skills. A strong understanding of processes, data analysis, and decision-making based on insights is essential. Experience in compliance and Health & Safety, supported by qualifications such as CPC or NEBOSH, is highly advantageous.
You should bring a systematic and logical approach to tasks, with strong leadership abilities and the capacity to inspire and motivate your team. High attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to perform under pressure are crucial. A friendly and adaptable attitude, combined with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service, will set you apart.
