We are seeking a highly experienced Freight Commercial Manager to oversee the whole of the Heathrow operation across multiple department including air, sea, road, customs, warehouse and logistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth and enhancing customer service and ensuring operational efficiency.

Duties

- To oversee and ensure the smooth running of the day to day operation (operations, customs, warehouse and logistics department)- Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth, enhance operational efficiency and improve customer service.- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, airlines, hauliers and other suppliers- Lead budgetary planning and manage P&L for operational departments- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards- Assist with interviewing potential employers- Develop and mentor team members to support growth- Manage procurement processes, bidding and quoting to customers- Negotiate contracts with carriers and suppliers-Oversee insurance claims

Skills- In depth knowledge of air/sea/road/ customs/ warehouse and logistics operations- Exceptional leadership and team management skills- Experience with procurement, bidding and insurance management- Proven track record of successfully managing operations, budgets and teams-IT literate- Ability to lead and manage sales teams effectively- Excellent negotiation skills for contract agreements- 5 year checkable history/ clean DBS check
