NEW POSITION - We are recruiting for a Aviation company local to Heathrow they are seeking a Material Controller , This role involves overseeing inventory levels, tracking stock movements, and coordinating with suppliers to maintain an efficient supply chain and procurement of Aircraft materials. Supporting the 24 hour maintenance control centre.

Daily duties will include:

  • Manage AOG situations in a speedy manner
  • Responsible for procurement and document aircraft goods / materials in accordance with laws and regulations
  • Negotiate with vendors to ensure best value is being offered
  • Monitor purchase orders
  • Managing freight forwarders and couriers to ensure efficient delivery of inbound and outbound global shipments
  • Negotiating the cost of shipping
  • Process return shipments of customer owned property
  • Complete compliant documents
  • Check contracts for customers law relevance
  • Define customs regimes according to the UK and International trade strategy follow and implement guidelines and binding customs standards as part of the customs compliance management system
  • Attend customer / supplier meetings which may include occasional travel

key Skills required:

  • Must have minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement (preferably aviation sector)
  • Experience of maintenance management system AMOS or similar would be advantageous
  • Aerospace related qualifications would be advantage
  • Knowledge of applicable officially recognized European / International regulations, being FAA, TCCA, EASA, PART-145, PGS-15, ADR, IATA Category 7/8
  • Experience in costing estimating, related aviation terminology and sound knowledge of spare parts processes preferred.

The role is office based with some working from home occasional travel within the UK must be flexible and need to work a shift pattern
