The successful Adult Nurse Manager will be responsible for providing face to face support to adult clients and their families, whilst creating personalised care plans for each person. You will work closely with a core team of carers, training and supporting them with their clinical skills and activities.
Criteria for aAdult Nurse Manager:
- RGN with an active NMC PIN
- Supportive management style that can bring out the best in others
- Up to date experience of tracheostomy care and ventilators within the last 2 years
- Advanced communication skills verbally and written to liaise effectively with patients, families and the MDT
- Suitable for Band 5 / Band 6 Nurses with evidence of effective leadership and management of HCAs
- Full UK Driving Licence desirable but not essential
Key responsibilities for a Adult Nurse Manager:
- Design and deliver a tailored care plan specific to an individual clients needs
- Effectively manage the MDT through strong communication and teamwork
- To provide ongoing monitoring, support and assessment of clients physical and physiological needs within your caseload
- To deliver nursing interventions including the management of medicine delivery
- Build and maintain sophisticated relationships with your clients family
- Working closely with community teams, CHC nurses and CCG commissioners to establish and maintain bespoke packages of care
