Job Summary: Project Manager – Aviation
Location: Heathrow
Contract Duration: 14 months
Rate: £525 per day (Outside IR35)
Role Overview: The Project Manager will lead the Tranche 5 Project for the T2 Baggage Handling System, overseeing the entire project lifecycle from design to handover. The role emphasizes collaboration with clients and Tier 1 suppliers to enhance project delivery capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring safe delivery and compliance with client KPIs.
- Develop construction sequences and phasing with suppliers.
- Conduct constructability reviews and create integrated delivery schedules.
- Oversee package managers for various disciplines and manage construction activities.
- Ensure safety management practices are implemented throughout the project.
- Set objectives, organize resources, and track progress with reporting processes.
- Coordinate with design management to ensure schedules and outputs meet deadlines.
- Drive efficiency and promote best practices in construction and design.
- Support procurement processes, budget development, and pre-commencement deliverables.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience at Heathrow and understanding of their governance lifecycle.
- Background in delivering baggage systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D, Civil3D, BIM360, and Bentley MicroStation 3D Modelling.
- Experience in large infrastructure project delivery.
This position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and effective communication skills to ensure the successful execution of the project.
