Job Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience working with young people, especially those with challenging behaviour, would be advantageous.
  • Skills: Strong behaviour management, patience, empathy, and the ability to think quickly in fast-paced environments are essential.
  • Availability: Full-time commitment, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
  • Positive Role Model: The mentor must be a reliable, approachable individual who can guide and support students while being a strong, positive role model.
  • DBS: Candidates must hold an enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one.

About the Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students with complex needs, helping them overcome challenges related to their SEN, ASD, and SEMH.
  • Acting as a role model, encouraging positive behaviours and offering emotional and academic support.
  • Reacting quickly to challenging situations, managing student behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
